About Artyom Manukyan
Artyom Manukyan is an Armenian cellist and bass-guitarist born in 1983 in Yerevan. He graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, mastering the cello while independently learning to play the bass guitar. During his early career in Armenia, he became a prominent figure in the local music scene, performing with renowned groups such as the "Armenian Navy Band" and "Katuner," and participating in numerous prestigious international jazz festivals.
In 2011, Manukyan moved to Los Angeles, expanding his collaborative reach to include globally recognized artists such as Run DMC and Bobby Brown. Throughout his career, he has recorded extensively, contributing to rock, pop, and jazz albums with both Armenian and American musicians. In 2015, he further established his solo artistry by releasing his debut album, "Citizen."
